Dad said，“We have a new baby and she’s coming home today.”

爸爸說：“我們有了一個新的小寶寶，她今天來家里。”

I got out my ball and bat and all my favorite games to show to the baby.

我拿出我的球、球拍還有我所有喜歡的玩具給她看。

I found my favorite picture book and read it out loud to the baby.

我找到我最喜歡的圖畫書，大聲讀給她聽。

But the new baby didnt pay any attention to me.

但是她根本不理我。

She cried a lot…even when I told her my best joke.

她一直哭，即使我給她講了我最棒的笑話。

I made my funniest face ever and she cried even louder.

我做出我做過最有趣的表情，但她哭得更大聲了。

I tried to dress her but she was too wiggly and floppy.

我嘗試給她穿衣服，但她一直扭來扭去而且身體軟軟的。

And sometimes she smelled funny and Mom had to change her.

So what can you do with a new baby?

Mom says we can cuddle her…

…and rock her to sleep.

We can tickle her tummy and make her laugh…

…or give her a rattle to play with.

或者給她一個撥浪鼓讓她玩。

I can give her my finger to grab…

我可以讓她抓我的手指，

…and let her pull my nose.

或者讓她拉我的鼻子。

I can take her for a walk and show her to my friends.

我可以帶她去散步，給我的朋友們看。

They think Im so lucky.
