Blowing Bubbles 吹泡泡

Mom: Lets go to the park.

媽媽：咱們去公園吧。

Child: Why?

寶寶：為什么？

Mom: Its a gorgeous day.

媽媽：今天天氣多好啊。

Do you want to go blow bubbles?

你想去吹泡泡嗎？

吹出某物，如blow bubbles-吹泡泡，或接觸某物的吹，如blow a horn-吹喇叭，用blow；不接觸某物的吹，如blow on your bump-吹吹你撞的包，用blow on。

Child: Ive never blown bubbles before.

寶寶：我從來沒吹過泡泡。

What do we need to bring?

咱們都需要帶什么呀？

Mom: We need bubble mixture and a bubble wand.

媽媽：我們需要泡泡水和泡泡棒。

(1) Mixture是混合物的意思，這里指泡泡水；泡泡水的“水”亦可用liquid和solution，但mixture和liquid在口語中更常用。

(2) Wand是小棒，和magic wand-魔棒的棒是同一個詞。

Child: Can we make the bubble mixture?

寶寶：咱們能自己做泡泡水嗎？

Mom: We can.

媽媽：可以呀。

Lets go to the kitchen and make our bubble mixture.

咱們去廚房做泡泡水吧。

We will need to measure our ingredients.

我們需要量一下配料。

We need 1/3 cup of dish soap,

我們需要1/3杯洗滌靈，

1/4 cup of corn syrup,

1/4杯玉米糖漿，

and 2 cups of water.

兩杯水。

Child: Do I mix up the ingredients?

寶寶：我來混合配料嗎？

Mom: Yes, but do it carefully.

媽媽：嗯，但是要小心。

Put them in a jar

把它們倒到一個罐子里，

and stir the ingredients gently.

輕輕地攪拌配料。

Child: Done.

寶寶：好了。

Mom: Thats perfect.

媽媽：非常好。

Fill your little bottle up to the top,

把你的小瓶灌滿，

and well savethe rest for next time.

剩下的留著下次用。

Lets pack up our stuff and head to the park.

咱們收拾東西去公園吧。

At the Park 在公園

Child: How do we blow bubbles?

寶寶：怎么吹泡泡?。?/p>

Mom: Dip your wand in the bottle to get some liquid on it.

媽媽：用小棒在瓶兒里蘸點泡泡水。

Then take a deep breath

然后深吸一口氣，

and blow gently through the wand.

輕輕地從小棒里吹出來。

If you blow too soft,

如果你吹得太輕，

you wont make a bubble.

你吹不出泡泡來。

If you blow too hard,

如果你吹得太使勁，

your bubble will pop.

你的泡泡會破的。

Child: I did it!

寶寶：我吹出來了！

Look! Its so pretty!

看！多漂亮啊！

Mom: Great job!

媽媽：真棒！

Child: This is a lot of fun.

寶寶：真好玩。

Mom: Lets pop the bubbles!

媽媽：咱們戳泡泡吧！

Pop是使爆裂的意思，在吹泡泡場景比poke-戳更常用。

Child: Pop! Pop! Pop!

寶寶：戳！戳！戳！
