Workroom是澳大利亞一個專門從事商業，零售，住宅和酒店行業的當代室內設計工作室。每個項目是都是設計和工程的一項壯舉，是美學與功能之間的微妙平衡。

Workroom is a studio specialising in contemporary design and interiors in the commercial, retail, residential, industrial and hospitality sectors.Each project is a feat of design and engineering, a delicate balance between aesthetics and function.

John Bornas和他的合作伙伴 Jo-Anne Gleeson于1999年創立了Workroom建筑工作室，其簡單的目的是“讓平凡的事物變得美麗”，為復雜的建筑問題找到了優雅的解決方案。

Workroom architectural studio John Bornas and his partner Jo-Anne Gleeson founded 1999 with the simple intention of ‘making beautiful what would otherwise be mundane’， finding elegant solutions to complex architectural problems.

John Borna出生在阿根廷，在很小的時候就移居到了澳大利亞，最初他并沒有被建筑吸引。試圖在數學和哲學的研究中尋找樂趣的時候，他發現了建筑學并從此回不了頭。

John, who was born in Argentina before moving to Australia at an early age, did not initially gravitate toward architecture. Whilst trying to find enjoyment in his studies of mathematics and philosophy, he discovered architecture and never looked back.

Workroom的設計是永恒的，被創造成客戶個性的典雅表現，而不是由趨勢驅動的設計。雖然永恒是Workroom工作室設計的關鍵詞，但20多年來，約翰見證了技術的發展，變得更加平易近人。他認為可持續設計是一種從好的建筑中不可減少的東西。

Workroom’s designs are timeless, created as an elegant expression of the personality of the client, rather than a design driven by trend.While ‘timeless’ is the key word when discussing Workroom’s design, over 20 years John has seen technology develop and become more accessible. He sees sustainable design as irreducible from good architecture.
