1，什么是重讀音節和非重讀音節？

大前提：在雙音節或多音節詞中，

A 必有一個發音特別響亮的音節,這個音節叫重讀音節，用重音符號標于相應音節的前邊。

重讀音節中的元音發音

或者是①符合元音字母在開音節、閉音節中的讀音；

或者是符合②各種元音字母組合的讀音。

B單詞中的其他音節為非重讀音節，

在非重讀音節中，元音發音不響亮，發音較弱。

2，什么時候要區分重讀音節和非重讀音節？

只在含有兩個以上音節的單詞中才涉及到重讀音節和非重讀音節的區分。

3、如何確定重讀音節和非重讀音節？

（1）單音節詞幾乎都按重讀音節對待，但不標重音符號。

name，be，me，these，hi，no，so，note，use，blue，

bat，beg，big，not，bus，cut

tea，eat，meat，bread，bee，see，meet，sheet，girl，shirt，bird，word，park，mark,

以上這些單詞都是單音節詞，每個單詞只有一個元音部分，構成了音節的核心，元音部分的發音或者遵循元音字母在開閉音節中的發音規律（參看下面的一），或者是各種元音字母組合的發音（參看）。

（2）雙音節詞通常是第一個音節是重讀音節，如：

ta-ble stu-dent let-ter win-ter fa-ther tea-cher pa-per，sor-ry wea-ther，mo-ther

■注意：

●雙音節詞中的許多前綴（雖然含有元音，算是個音節）不重讀，是非重讀音節，第二個音節是重讀音節。

常見的前綴有：

a- ：about,awake，asleep，alive ； be-：believe,behind,beside ；

de-：decide, re-：report re‘pair res-： respect ；in-： inform in‘sert，in’side

im-：impress impossible en-：enjoy encourage ； em- em‘ploy

es- escape ex- exam excited ex’press con-, con‘sist；com-,compare

dis- discuss mis-, mistake pre-, prepare ；per- permit ；pro- ： produce ；

trans- translate等，這些前綴不重讀，第二個音節是重讀音節。

●de-, in-, re-, con-, pre- 等前綴的重音與詞義和詞類有關，一般作為名詞的重音在第一個音節上，作為其它的詞性重音在第二個音節上，讀音也不一樣。

如：record是名詞,記錄，記載;唱片的意思，讀作/rek??d/

record是動詞記錄，記載;錄制的意思，讀作/r??k??d/

這樣的詞匯還有：conduct, conduct; present present; content, content

●有些復合詞和帶有前綴re-,ex-,un-,pre-,post-,等的詞，有兩個重音。

retell, well-known, unreal, fifteen, Chinese, pre-war, post-war outside,

在重讀音節中，元音的發音或者①遵循元音字母在開閉音節中的發音規則，或者②是各種元音字母組合的發音，參看I。

在非重讀音節中，元音的發音參看下面的II。

（4）三個或三個以上音節的單詞中有比較大的一部分是倒數第三個音節是重讀音節。

company、impossible、elephant、congratulation，difficult, family, economy, opportunity

■有一些雙音節詞，加了前綴和后綴，成了多音節，但這些詞按原先詞根的重音讀音。

如‘careful——carefully, comfort——comfortable, conduct——conductor,

accord—according

英語中有四類重讀音節：開音節，閉音節，r音節，re音節。

一、元音字母在重讀音節中的讀音，就是元音字母在開閉音節中的發音規律

以下單詞中個別字母的讀音現象不符合規律：

have中字母a發了/?/，

put 字母 u 讀 /?/ 音，

do to 中的字母o 讀 /u:/ 音，

woman 字母 o 讀/u/音，one 多出來一個/w/ 音，wolf 字母 o 讀 /u/ 音，

give live 里面的 i 發短音 /?/。

三、-r音節的元音字母組合在重讀音節中的讀音

雙r前的音節，是閉音節，不是r音節。如：carry,marry,berry,mirror,sorry,hurry.
-r音節在非重讀音節中通常讀/?/音，例如：dollar teacher forget Saturday

四、-re音節元音字母組合在重讀音節中的讀音

一、元音字母在非重讀音節中的讀音

一般來說，元音字母在非重讀音節中往往讀得很短很輕，因此經常發短元音/?/或/?/,有時還干脆不發音。
