Set the Table 擺餐具

中文說擺餐具，但英文用set the table-布置桌子。

There are a few rules to remember when setting the table.

擺餐具的時候有幾點規則要記住。

Set the plate for each spot right in front of the chair.

把盤子擺在每個人椅子的正前方。

Then, place the napkin to the left of the plate.

然后，把餐巾擺在盤子左側。

You can fold it in half, if its big enough.

如果它比較大，可以把它對折。

Also on the left side, you should place the fork, which will be on the napkin.

也是在左側，你把叉子擺上，擺在餐巾上。

The knife and spoon go on the right side of the plate.

刀和勺擺在盤子的右側。

The knife is closest to the plate

刀離盤子最近，

and make sure that the sharp side is facing inside (towards the plate).

刀刃那邊要沖里（沖著盤子）。

The spoon will go to the right of the knife, with the bottoms even with each other.

勺擺在刀右邊，底端對齊。

Water glasses go on the right side also,

裝水的玻璃杯也擺在右邊，

but they are placed right above the spoon and knife.

但是是在勺和刀的正上方。

If there is a bowl,

如果有碗，

youll place it right on top of the plate,

把它放到盤子上面。

like an egg in a nest. 就像窩里的雞蛋。
