Merry-go-round 旋轉木馬

Mom: What would you like to do first?

媽媽：你想先玩什么？

Were spending all of today at the park,

我們今天會在游樂園呆一整天，

so we can make sure to hit all the different rides.

這樣肯定能玩上所有的項目。

Child: Hm… how about the merry-go-round?

寶寶：嗯……旋轉木馬怎么樣？

注意，是round，不是around；另外，旋轉木馬也叫carousel。

Mom: Okay, a gentle way to start the day off.

媽媽：好的，用溫和的方式開始新的一天。

And its a classic amusement park ride,

而且這是一個經典的游樂園項目，

so we need to make sure to ride it.

我們一定得玩上它。

乘坐游樂園的項目，既可以用ride，也可以用ride on。

There it is.

這兒呢。

See it?

看到了嗎？

All the little horses under the circular tent.

圓形帳篷下的各種小馬。

Child: Yup!

寶寶：嗯！

I like this unicorn!

我喜歡這只獨角獸！

Can I ride it?

我能騎它嗎？

Mom: Sure.

媽媽：當然。

Go ahead and sit on the horse.

快去坐到馬上吧。

Ill ride this Pegasus.

我要騎這匹飛馬。

Remember, hold on to the pole.

記住，扶著桿兒。

Child: Woo!

寶寶：哇！

This is fun.

真好玩。

It goes up and down like a real horse.

上上下下的就像真馬一樣。

Roller Coaster 過山車

Child: Whats next, Mommy?

寶寶：下一個玩什么，媽媽？

Mom: Next is the roller coaster.

媽媽：下一個是過山車。

It goes up and down along a track.

它沿著軌道上下起伏。

Daddy is going to ride that by himself

爸爸一會兒自己坐，

because you are not old enough to ride it,

因為你還不夠大，還玩不了，

but we can watch from down here.

Child: Okay.

寶寶：好吧。

Mom: Look, the cars are slowly but surely climbing up the first incline of the ride.

Child: Oh boy, that sounds scary!

Mom: Well, its kind of exciting to a lot of people.

Your dad will feel weightless

and lift off his seat a little.

The designers spent a lot of time

making sure the roller coasters are safe for everyone.

Plus, he is strapped in

and has a bar over his legs.

Child: Look, Daddys hair is all messed up!

Mom: Yup, the wind from that ride did that!

媽媽：是啊，坐過山車的時候風吹的!

Log Flume 激流勇進

Mom: I thought we might spend this hot summer day with a cool water ride.

媽媽：我想我們可以用清涼的水上項目來度過炎熱的一天。

See it over there?

那邊呢，看見了嗎？

Lets go ahead and get in line.

我們去排隊吧。

Child: Heres our boat.

寶寶：這是我們的船。

Mom: Just slide into a row.

Child: Can I sit in the front row?

Mom: Yes, thats fine.

媽媽：嗯，行。

Here comes the first chute!

Whee!

哦!

Child: I got totally splashed with water!

寶寶：我被濺了一身水！

That was fun!

真好玩！

Is there another one?

還有嗎?

Mom: Yes, there are several more.

媽媽：嗯，還有幾個。

Dont worry,

別擔心，

theres lots more water to soak up!

還有足夠多的水讓你濕透!

Child: Good.

寶寶：太好了。

I cant wait!

我等不及了!

Ferris Wheel 摩天輪

Child: Will we have time to ride on the Ferris wheel, too?

寶寶：我們還有時間去坐摩天輪嗎?

Mom: Yep, I planned on riding that around sunset

媽媽：嗯，我打算在日落的時候坐它，

so we could take in the pretty views.

這樣我們可以領略美麗的景色。

Child: Can we ride this one together as a family?

寶寶：我們能一家人一起坐這個嗎?

Mom: Sure.

媽媽：當然。

The cabins we sit in are large enough

to hold all three of us.

Go ahead and get in the car.

The doors open.

Child: Uh-oh!

寶寶：哎呀！

Its rocking!

Mom: Its supposed to.

That way it rotates

這樣它才能轉起來，

and stays upright as the giant wheel turns.

大輪子轉動時才能保持直立。

Alright, sit down and be still.

好了，坐下不動。

Child: Here we go!

寶寶：走了！

Mom: Yup!

媽媽：是的！

Looks like well go around one more time.

看來我們還要再繞一圈。

Child: Its a great view of the park from here.

寶寶：從這里看游樂園景色真美。

Mom: Exactly.

媽媽：是的。

Its a nice end to our day in the amusement park.這是我們在游樂園的一天的美好結尾。
