Mom: Sweetheart, before we go out today,

媽媽：親愛的，今天咱們出門之前，

I want to have a little chat with you about staying safe.

我想跟你談?wù)劙踩珕栴}。

Child: Okay Mommy, but what do you mean by safe?

寶寶：好的媽媽，但是你說的安全是什么意思呢？

Mom: Today, I want to talk to you about stranger danger

媽媽：今天我想和你講一下陌生人的危險(xiǎn)性

and prevention from getting lost or kidnapped. 和如何防走丟、防拐。

Here are some very important practices:

以下幾點(diǎn)做法非常重要：

never speak to strangers,

不要和陌生人說話，

never go with strangers anywhere,

不要跟陌生人去任何地方，

and never take food from strangers.

不要拿陌生人給的吃的。

Remember, if someone, even someone you know,

記住，如果有人，即使是你認(rèn)識(shí)的人makes you feel uncomfortable讓你感到不安，

or asks you to go somewhere without Mommy,　

或者讓你離開媽媽去別的地方，

shout "NO" as loud as you can.

要大喊“不”，能喊多大聲就喊多大聲。

If anyone offers you food, you should always say "no"

任何人給你吃的，你都應(yīng)該拒絕，

or come and ask Mommy first if you can have it.

或者先過來問問媽媽你可不可以要。

Child: Why?

寶寶：為什么呢？

Mom: There are bad people out there who kidnap children,

媽媽：有壞人專門拐騙小孩，

taking them away from their mommies and daddies.

把他們從爸爸媽媽身邊帶走。

I would never let you be taken away from me.

我絕對(duì)不會(huì)讓人把你從我身邊帶走。

Child: That sounds scary!

寶寶：聽起來好嚇人！

What if I get lost and I cant find you?

如果我走丟了，找不到你該怎么辦呢？

Mom: That is a good question.

媽媽：這是個(gè)好問題。

If you get lost, you should stay where you are or find the closest safe space

如果你走丟了，你應(yīng)該原地不動(dòng)，或者找個(gè)最近的安全的地方，

and I will always come back and find you.

我一定會(huì)回來找你的。

If you move, I wont know where to look.

如果你動(dòng)地兒了，我就不知道去哪找了。

If you stay in the same spot, I can retrace my steps and find you.

如果你呆在原地不動(dòng)，我能順著走過的路找到你。

Child: Okay, I will.

寶寶：好的，我會(huì)的。

Mom: You can also try shouting my name

媽媽：你還可以喊我的名字，

and I might hear you and be able to find you.

或許我能聽見，也能找到你。

Remember, shout my name, instead of "Mommy"

記住，喊我的名字，而不是“媽媽”，

because its hard to tell your voice from other childrens in a noisy public place,

因?yàn)樵卩须s的公共場所很難分清你和其他孩子的聲音，

and people are the most attentive to their personal names.

而且人們最容易注意到自己的名字。

Child: Okay, I see.

寶寶：好的，我明白了。

Mom: You should know Mommys full name and phone number

媽媽：你得知道我的全名和電話號(hào)碼，

so you can ask a safe adult to call me.

這樣你可以找個(gè)可靠的大人給我打電話。

Child: What is a safe adult?

寶寶：什么是可靠的大人呢？

Mom: Another good question.

媽媽：這也是個(gè)好問題。

A safe adult is someone in a uniform like a police officer,

可靠的大人指穿著制服的人，比如警察，

or a safe adult could be another mommy

可靠的大人還可以是其他媽媽，

or a lady in a shop who has a name tag.

或者商店里帶著姓名牌的阿姨。

Child: Im less scared now.

寶寶：我現(xiàn)在沒那么害怕了。

Mom: Yeah, if you have any questions, ask me anytime.

媽媽：嗯，如果你有任何問題，隨時(shí)問我。

Now we can go.

現(xiàn)在咱們可以走了。

Make sure to stay close to me.

要離我近一些哦。

Child: Sure, I love you, Mommy, and I want to be as close as possible to you.

寶寶：當(dāng)然，我愛媽媽，我想離媽媽越近越好。
