This lake is callde Gahai.

這片湖叫尕海。

Its located about 3,500 meters above sea level in Gansu Province,northwestern China.

蕩漾在中國西北的甘肅省海拔約3500米的地方。

People call it the "Pearl on the Plateau".

人們稱它為高原明珠。

This is the home to a species of elegant cranes.

這里是一種優雅鶴類的家園。

The surface area of the Gahai Lake is only about 27 square kilometers.

But it attracts more than 20,000 birds to live and transit every year.

The black-necked crane gets its name from its slender blacd neck.
