如何翻譯“聯歡會”、“晚會”等詞，一直比較困擾大家，今天我來幫大家梳理一下：

(1) 聯歡會：celebration show，亦可簡稱為celebration；

(2) 晚會：不能譯為evening show，因為它指代各種形式的晚間節目，包括新聞、訪談等，可譯為evening gala，gala指大型慶典；

(3) 才藝表演：talent show；

(4) 匯報演出：recital [risait?l]，通常在學期或學年末；

(5) 音樂會：concert，演唱或演奏，不含舞蹈；

(6) 綜藝晚會：variety show，包括歌舞、雜技、魔術等。

(7) 嘉年華：carnival，亦作fair，和中國的廟會類似，有各種游藝、小吃、游樂園項目、表演等。

Preparing for the Show 為演出做準備

1. I heard your kindergarten will hold a Childrens Day Celebration. Would you like to invite mommy and daddy to see it?

我聽說你們幼兒園要舉辦一個兒童節聯歡會，你想邀請媽媽爸爸去看么？

2. There is a rehearsal in the morning. We cant be late today, otherwise you will miss it.

上午有個彩排。咱們今天不能遲到，要不該趕不上了。

5. I have prepared for you the costume [k?stju:m] your teacher asked for.

我已經按老師要求給你準備好演出服了。

6. Have you mastered every dance move? Should we practice more?

During the Show 演出中

7. Lets check our ticket to find our seat number. Hmm, we are Row 6, Seat 6.

咱們看一眼票，查一下座位號。嗯，咱們是6排6號。

先說排號，再說座位號。上學時我們都學過，寫英文地址要按從小到大的順序，和中文相反，但這一原則并非適用于所有情況。

8. A child and their parent share one seat. You can just sit on my lap.

小孩和大人坐一個座位。你可以坐我腿上。

(1) 當你不確定性別時，用their。

(2) Sit on my knees / legs外國人也可以理解，但是sit on my lap是最地道的說法。

9. Lets take a look at the program and see what number your class is.

咱們看一眼節目單，看看你們班是第幾個。

10. The show will begin in five minutes. Guess which teachers will be the hosts?

演出5分鐘后就開始了。猜猜哪位老師是主持人？

11. The curtains are opening and the show is beginning. Lets clap our hands.

大幕拉開了，演出開始了。咱們鼓掌。

亦可用Lets applaud，但clap our hands更適用于孩子。

12. Its almost your turn. You have to go backstage, gather with your class and wait for your turn.

馬上就到你了。你得到后臺和你們班集合，候場。

13. I will hand you over to the teacher. This is your first performance but dont be nervous. You will do fine.

我把你交給老師了。這是你第一次演出，不過別緊張。你肯定行。

After the Show 演出后

14. You did a wonderful job in the show. Congratulations and Happy Childrens Day!

你表演的太棒了。祝賀你，兒童節快樂！

15. You class is going to take a group picture. Go join them.

你們班要拍集體照了。趕快去。

16. I took a video of you. Lets watch it together with daddy when we get home.

我給你錄了一段視頻。咱們到家和爸爸一起看。

17. The teacher put makeup on you. You look so pretty, but we have to wash your face well tonight.
